Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information ALIBI collects, why, and what you can do about it. ALIBI is operated by Moriel Pahima (Moriel Software Services), Israel. Contact: support@playalibi.io.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your Google name and profile picture.
- Profile choices: the avatar you pick and your language.
- Game activity: the rooms and games you play, your role in each, your votes, and your XP, level, badges and daily streak.
- Chat messages: what you write during a game.
- Subscription status: if you buy ALIBI Plus, we learn that you are subscribed and until when. We never receive your card or payment details.
- Technical data: basic logs such as IP address, device type and error reports, kept by our hosting providers to run and secure the service.
We do not collect your contacts, your location or your photos. Streak reminders are scheduled on your device itself.
Chat and artificial intelligence
The game's stories, its moderator and its bot players are powered by AI models from Anthropic. To let them respond, we send Anthropic the game's story and recent chat messages, including messages you wrote and the display names of the players in that game. We do not send your email address. Please do not put sensitive personal information in the chat.
How we use it
- to create your account and sign you in;
- to run games: show you to other players, deal roles, deliver chat, count votes and award XP;
- to generate the story, the moderator's lines and the bots' replies;
- to show leaderboards, which display your display name, avatar and XP to other players;
- to apply the game limits and your subscription;
- to keep the service secure, fix problems and prevent abuse;
- to send you sign-in codes and essential service messages by email.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — database, sign-in and realtime messaging;
- Anthropic — the AI that writes stories and replies;
- Apple and Google — sign-in, app distribution and payments;
- RevenueCat — subscription status;
- Expo — app delivery and updates;
- Vercel — hosting of this website.
These providers may store and process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
What other players see
Players in your game see your display name, avatar and chat messages, and at the end of a round your role and vote. Leaderboards show your display name, avatar and XP. Your email address is never shown to other players.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and game history for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, rooms you hosted and your game history are deleted; messages you wrote in games hosted by other players remain there without your account attached. Provider logs and backups are removed on their normal schedules.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account at any time in the app: Profile, then Delete account.
- Change your display name, avatar and language on the Profile screen.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it, by writing to support@playalibi.io. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as Israel's Protection of Privacy Law or the GDPR, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
ALIBI is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and access to it is restricted. No online service can be perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
